A Carny Vibe

A Carny Vibe is a northern Nevada Grateful Dead tribute built around Reno musicians Roger Scime and Rick Winfield, who bring in friends and guest players for each show. They play Dead originals and the covers the band favored, plus material from the Dead's contemporaries, in a show pitched at the Summer of Love. They work the Reno, Sparks and Carson City circuit — Alturas Bar, the Polecat Tavern, MRC Center Stage — and have played Grateful Dead Night for the Reno Aces and the Artown festival.
