Blue Drew and the Magoos

Blue Drew and the Magoos played their official debut on July 1, 2024 at Common Pub in Bristol, Rhode Island, with Drew Doyon on drums, Lee McAdams on guitar, Kyle Hoegen on guitar and keys, and Burke White on bass; the current group adds Lou Ferro on acoustic guitar and Nick Parisi on keys. They are not a strict Dead tribute - a typical setlist mixes Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band material with The Meters, Taj Mahal, the Allman Brothers, Hendrix, Ween, originals by McAdams, and an open 'Space' jam. Their base is the East Bay and Providence bar-and-brewery circuit: a first-Friday-of-the-month residency at Prudence in Bristol, plus Judge Roy Bean Saloon, Pivotal Brewing, Trinity Brewhouse, Duffins Pub and Galactic Theatre. Their Massachusetts dates are Cape Cod and South Coast rooms - Love Farms in West Dennis and Play Arcade in New Bedford. Fans tape and post the shows to the Internet Archive.
