Catfish John

Catfish John is guitarist and vocalist Mike Greene's acoustic duo and trio on the South Carolina Grand Strand, rounded out by Rich Passigli on bass and Jimmy Fleming on fiddle, mandolin, guitar and vocals. Greene's own history page dates this incarnation to October 2025 and lists a long Dead-scene resume behind it: the South Florida Dead band Crazy Fingers from 1990 to 1993, the NY-metro act Reckoning from 1999 to 2005, and Catfish John Soul Kitchen on the Grand Strand from 2008 to 2010. Setlists pull from the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band alongside Dylan and the Allman Brothers, in rooms from Myrtle Beach down to Pawleys Island, including the Pawleys Island Tavern.
