Dead Sky

Dead Sky came together in January 2019 after a single night of Grateful Dead music at The Filling Station in Bozeman went well enough to become a standing project. Guitarist Joe Knapp formed the band; the six-piece also includes Kelly Nicholson on vocals, Luke Flansburg and Jess Atkins on vocals and lead guitar, Rich Robiscoe on bass and Joe Sheehan on drums, leaning hard on three-part harmony and an ever-expanding repertoire. They hold down Bozeman rooms including The Filling Station, The ELM and Armory Music Hall, play Sweet Pea Festival, and range out to the Top Hat in Missoula and The State Room in Salt Lake City, often with a New Year's run.
