J and the Tie Dyers

J and the Tie Dyers, often shortened to JTD, are based in Cazenovia in Madison County, NY, and their own Facebook description says they cover the Grateful Dead plus songs by The Band and others, with 'Dead on harmony' as their specialty. They work a tight circuit of central New York rooms and community events - Meier's Creek Brewing Company and Madison County Distillery in Cazenovia, the Lorenzo State Historic Site for Cazenovia community days, the Caz Life Summer Fest - and travel up the Mohawk Valley for events like Long Live the Dead: The Shakedown at the Frankfort Marina. They scale down to a trio for smaller bookings, billed as the JTD Trio.
