Jawn Of The Dead

Jawn Of The Dead started in March 2019 when Philadelphia-area guitarist Rich Hill pulled a group together for a single Grateful Dead night at The Fainting Goat in Glenolden, PA, and the room was good enough that they kept going. The lineup is Rich Hill (guitar, vocals), Rosalind Rose (vocals, vibes), James Tauscher (guitar, vocals), Dean Gorfti (drums), Jim Shaflucas (bass, vocals) and Steve Rice (keyboards). They chase the Dead's spirit of exploration across rock, blues, jazz, folk, country, bluegrass, gospel, reggae and psychedelia rather than recreating setlists. They play the Philly region and down the shore — Sellersville Theater, Rivet in Pottstown, Anchor Rock Club in Atlantic City — and archive shows on Archive.org.
