KGB - Karl's Garcia Band

KGB, or Karl's Garcia Band, is a Jerry Garcia Band tribute working the Philadelphia and South Jersey circuit, describing itself as a heartfelt celebration of the sound and feel of the classic JGB eras. Sets pair the familiar — "Sugaree," "Deal," "Catfish John," "That's Alright Mama," "Eleanor Rigby" — with deep cuts, leaning on psychedelic improvisation and danceable grooves. They play 118 North in Wayne, the Bridgeport Ribhouse, the Gem in Spring City, Cooper's Riverview in New Jersey and the German American Society in Robbinsville. Tapers have posted a steady run of their 2025 and 2026 shows to the Internet Archive.
