Morning Dew

Morning Dew is a St. Petersburg, Florida five-piece formed in 2024 out of the Tampa Bay Dead scene, drawing its players from other established local Dead bands. Alan Gilman (vocals, guitar) was a founding member of Uncle John's Band, the Tampa Bay Dead tribute that started in 1996, and left it in 2024; bassist Christian Walker founded Dead Set Florida in 2017. They are rounded out by John Sabal on rhythm guitar, John Richardson on keyboards and Mike Garrie on drums. The band's own stated calling cards are five-part vocal harmonies and extended improvisation, and they say they play Jerry Garcia-style gear to chase the tone. Regular rooms include Cage Brewing in St. Petersburg.
