Mr. Blotto

Mr. Blotto formed in Chicago in 1991 around the songwriting brothers Mike and Paul Bolger, and has toured the Midwest steadily ever since. They are primarily an original jam band rather than a tribute act, blending hard rock, southern rock, folk and country rock while working reworked Grateful Dead songs into their sets alongside Allman Brothers and Phish material. Their deepest Dead connection is the 2006 album Barlow Shanghai, written in collaboration with Grateful Dead lyricist John Perry Barlow. The long-tenured lineup includes Mark Hague on lead guitar, Tony Dellumo on drums and Steve Ball on Hammond B3 and vocals.
