Old Shoe

Old Shoe formed in Chicago in 2010 out of weekly residencies in local bars and has since become a Midwest festival regular, hitting Summer Camp, Wakarusa, Harvest Fest and Phases of the Moon and opening for Bruce Hornsby, Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams and Greensky Bluegrass. The five-piece writes its own material - rock, bluegrass, jazz and folk folded together - most recently on the album 'Past the Light'. The Dead connection is in the approach and the occasional cover rather than in tribute sets.
