One Man Gone

One Man Gone is a Palo Alto Grateful Dead band that started in 2020, when the players began meeting outdoors at Mitchell Park to keep playing at a distance during the pandemic; they took the name One Man Gone on May 15, 2021. The lineup is Travis Huch (guitar, lead vocals), Mark Perlson (guitar, vocals), Alex Bird (bass), Erica Waxer (keyboards, vocals) and drummers Mark Heller and Bill Gunn. They describe their approach as a two-guitar, two-drummer sound treating the Dead as the ultimate bar band while also leaning into the progressive, disco and improvisational side of the catalog. They play Peninsula and South Bay rooms on a regular rotation - Winters Tavern in Pacifica, the Brisbane Inn, Satori Cellars in Gilroy, Pioneer Saloon in Woodside, SPARK Social in San Jose and Club Fox in Redwood City.
