Quality Jerry

Quality Jerry is an eight-piece Grateful Dead band out of Lansing, Michigan, co-founded in the early 2020s by drummer Tad Boehmer, a rare-books curator in MSU Library's Special Collections. The roster leans on the Michigan State community: Peter Alegi on percussion and vocals, Anne-Marie Rachman on piano and vocals, Zoe Kissel on rhythm guitar, Joshua Barton on guitar, Eddie Gildner on mandolin and Dylan Kissel running sound. Roughly fifty years separate the oldest and youngest members. They favor a country-flavored groove and play Lansing rooms including the Avenue Cafe and the Peanut Barrel; in March 2026 they marked the 55th anniversary of the Dead's 1971 Jenison Fieldhouse show.
