SamJAMwich

SamJAMwich formed in Pittsburgh in the summer of 2021 as a jam band centered on the Grateful Dead, fusing bluegrass, funk, rock, soul and punk with what they describe as the DIY ethos of the '80s punk scene. They built the band on hometown stages including Mr. Smalls Funhouse, Bloom Brew, Thunderbird Music Hall, Club Cafe and Pittsburgh Winery, and passed their hundredth show in 2024. They have also landed festival slots in West Virginia, New York and northwestern Pennsylvania, and shared bills with ekoostik hookah, The Motet, Dirtwire and Rasta Rafiki.
