Shotgun Ragtime Band

Shotgun Ragtime Band has played Grateful Dead music every Sunday at the Driftwood Char Bar in south Minneapolis since 2011 and has never missed one, passing 750 consecutive 'Grateful Sundays' — during Covid they set up eight feet apart in the Driftwood parking lot and streamed to thousands. On a given night they pull from a catalog of roughly 400 songs and unfurl it over several hours with little ego and less eye contact. Beyond the residency they play First Avenue, Midwest festivals, and have done a Grateful Dead Night pregame for the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center.
