Tenacious Dead

Very little is verifiable about Tenacious Dead. Its only footprint is a profile on The Local Music Finder, the North/Central Jersey listings site, tagged classic rock/blues/country/folk (that site's default tag set for Dead tributes), plus a Facebook page whose numeric profile ID indicates it was created recently. The band does not appear on gratefuldeadtributebands.com's 40-plus-band New Jersey roster, and has no website, no press, no named members and no published formation date; searches for the name return a Magic: The Gathering card and Tenacious D tribute acts instead. The only geographic signal is a Summit, NJ date, which points at the Union/Essex County end of the North Jersey scene. Sources on this one are genuinely thin and nothing beyond the listing itself should be treated as established.
