The Wheel is a Grateful Dead tribute band from New York's Capital Region that plays authentic readings of the Dead's music: a rock-solid rhythm section anchoring improvisational guitar and keyboard solos, with a range of vocal styles across the band. The shows swing between high-energy jams and quieter, blissful stretches while keeping a danceable groove. The fall calendar runs from Lark Hall in Albany through a Halloween night at the Glove Theatre in Gloversville and back to Lark Hall before Christmas.
