Tin Roof Cats

Tin Roof Cats started in 2022 when guitarist Ty Fly put together a Grateful Dead tribute project with Russell Somer on guitar and vocals and Josh Reynolds on drums. They spent roughly two years absorbing the repertoire and gigging steadily around Nashville, Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee, and became a regional favorite on the strength of high-energy, new-age readings of the Dead's songwriting and improvisation. They play Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, the Flamingo Cocktail Club and Preservation Pub in Knoxville, with a 2026 run that reaches into Ohio, Kentucky and Alabama.
