Xtra Ticket

Xtra Ticket formed in Tempe in the summer of 1994 around founder Evan Jones, and has been Arizona's longest-running Grateful Dead band ever since. Guitarist Dave Hebert was tapped by Melvin Seals in 2011 to play lead and sing in JGB, and the lineup fills out with Charley Gnecco on drums, Elliot Rauch on piano and organ, and Guy Ivester on bass. They keep the Dead's sonic template intact, two drummers and two guitarists in the Garcia and Weir roles, and pull from three decades of Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band material plus Neil Young, the Allman Brothers and Otis Redding.
