Half Step
Lynbrook, NY · since 2004
Half Step formed on Long Island in 2004 as a group of dedicated fans and students of the Grateful Dead, and has spent two decades chasing the spirit, improvisation, and complexity of the music rather than a costume version of it. They headline Brooklyn Bowl's Dead Bowl nights, play the Industry City bandshell in summer, and have staged planetarium shows at the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport with lasers overhead. The 2026 calendar closes with a Halloween show at The Space at Westbury.
