About the band
Grateful To The Core
since 2023
Grateful To The Core is led by guitarist Joel Martin, a self-described professional Jerryologist who has made a living playing Grateful Dead music up and down the West Coast — roughly three hundred shows from San Diego to Canada and as far east as Texas. The current band came together after Martin met Milo BC and Patch Gardner at a Dead & Company show in 2023. They are recording an album of Dead-style originals billed as "Sea To Shining Sea — The Grateful Dead's Lost Album," and play Pacifica often enough to have thanked the town by name.
