Shakedown Citi came together in a Grateful Dead parking lot at Citi Field in 2023 and has moved fast since: Garcia's at the Capitol Theatre, Bearsville Theater, Fairfield's StageOne, and rooms as far as Delaware and Nevada City. The band channels the spirit of the Dead rather than imitating them, with fan-submitted dream setlists and long, exploratory jams. Peter Shapiro of Brooklyn Bowl and the Cap has said they have built something special.
