Uncle Shoehorn

Uncle Shoehorn started in Warwick, New York about fifteen years ago as a Grateful Dead cover band and turned decidedly funky once a horn section joined: New Orleans funk and jazz, classic soul, blues, and R&B alongside what they call funk-ta-fried Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band material — the only band with horn charts for several sets of it. Their Funky Dead Party has played Garcia's at the Capitol Theatre; their Big Easy show is a New Orleans heritage tribute; and the annual Funky Corn Festival at Wright Family Farm is a Warwick tradition.
