Lightning Dan and the Crawdads

Lightning Dan and the Crawdads is an Inland Empire-based Grateful Dead band that came onto the Southern California jam scene in early 2018. It is a seven-piece with two drummers - Mike Replogle (bass), Tanya Ellis (vocals), Eric Lockhart (piano and organ), Tom Eiland and Eric Raaen (guitars), and Reno Mazzarotti and Allen Erwin on drums and percussion. The band says it plays 40-plus shows a year across California's deserts, mountains and coast, built around deep jams and segues; recurring rooms are the Mt. Baldy Lodge up in the San Gabriels, the Garden Amphitheater in Garden Grove, and LA Dead Night at the Old Towne Pub in Pasadena. Festival appearances include Jerry Daze on Mt. Baldy and the June Lake Jam Fest in the Eastern Sierra.
