Rosewater

Rosewater, billed in full as 'Rosewater: A Tribute to the Grateful Dead,' formed in Humboldt County in 2015 and is based in Arcata. It began as a weekly garage jam among five friends after the Dead's Fare Thee Well 50th-anniversary shows, with no intention of playing out, until neighbors started knocking to ask where they could see them. The current lineup is Rich Tobin and Aaron Laughlin (guitars, vocals), Alex Espe (keys, vocals), Aaron Drago (bass) and Trevor Enright (drums), and the band works with a standing crew for lighting and live audio. They play the North Coast circuit - Humboldt Brews in Arcata, the Eureka Theater, Dead Ahead nights listed on Lost Coast Outpost - and produce their own three-day Camp Rosewater festival, held in 2026 at Salmon Creek Mountain View Resort in Miranda. They also appear at the Hog Farm & Friends festival at Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville.
