Ice Petal Flowers

Ice Petal Flowers is a five-piece Grateful Dead band whose members come from both New York and New Jersey, founded in spring 2015 and gigging around the tri-state area since. The current lineup is Dave Fuller on lead guitar, John Policano on rhythm guitar and vocals, Chuck Chesler on keys, Mike Manuele on bass and Matthew Cole on drums; the original 2015 group also included Lane Steinberg, Chris Van Ophuijsen, Kevin Uehlinger and Adrian Mullins. They explicitly avoid note-for-note recreation and build shows around improvisation, drawing on early Dead through the mid-1970s material with extended jams and deep cuts. Past appearances include Garcia's at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, the Arrowhead Music and Art Exposition in Parksville, the Oneonta Theater, and Tompkins Square Park in NYC for the 50th anniversary of the Dead's first New York show. Their current bread and butter is small Bergen County rooms - Deadhead brunches at Shawn's Crazy Saloon in North Arlington and Sunday afternoons at the Dog House Saloon in Township of Washington.
