Terrapin Flyer started in 1999 as the house band for the Sunday Grateful Dead jam at Chicago's Boulevard Cafe and has spent more than 25 years building a national touring profile. Long collaborations with Dead-family players — Melvin Seals, Vince Welnick and Tom Constanten — earned the band a mention in Rolling Stone's Guide to the Grateful Dead. The current lineup is Josh Olken, Wavy Dave, Jon Reed, Michael Cole and Doug Hagman, playing faithful but adventurous readings shot through with jazz, blues and bluegrass. Their signature run is ten straight Days Between shows split between Martyrs' and Garcia's in Chicago.
