The Deadly String Band

The Deadly String Band is an acoustic old-time string-band tribute to the Grateful Dead from East Lansing, Michigan, made up of Greg Bonito (mandolin, bass, fiddle, vocals), Matt Borghi (guitar, banjo, vocals), Big Dave Lindahl (bass), Andrew Pfeiffer (dobro, guitar) and Mike Strain (guitar, vocals). They work toward covering the whole Dead songbook plus the old-time blues, folk and bluegrass material that fed it. They play mid-Michigan regularly, including a standing no-cover slot at the Peanut Barrel in East Lansing, and have appeared at the Grateful Bear Campout and WoodKey Fest.
