Burlington, VT · since 1983
Dark Star Project is a Burlington, Vermont Grateful Dead band whose core dates back to 1983, when guitarist-vocalists Joe Carlomagno and Bill Myregaard started Dark Star in Boston. They later moved north and filled out the lineup with Adam Tarmy on bass, Zach Rhoads on keys and Ed Harvey on drums. The band plays faithful readings of the Dead catalog around Vermont, including a Wednesday Night Dead series at Zenbarn in Waterbury Center and dates at Rimrock's Mountain Tavern in Stowe, and has released live and original material on Bandcamp.
